About Us

What we stand for

The Austrian Students’ Union (ÖH) at FHWien der WKW is the legal representative body for all students at FHWien der WKW. We are committed to ensuring that student concerns are heard and taken into account in decision-making. If you have any questions, problems, or uncertainties during your studies, you can contact us.

At the same time, we want to make student life easier and more varied. Therefore, we offer advising and practical services, organize events, and create opportunities for students to meet and connect.

Chair

The student council’s leadership team coordinates the work of the student body and keeps track of current topics, projects, and concerns. It represents the students to the university and works closely with the departments and student representatives.

Department for Education Policy

The Department for Educational Policy primarily provides legal advice to students regarding study and examination law. This includes, for example, examinations, attendance requirements, deadlines, and other legal or organizational issues related to your studies.

Department for Social Policy

The Social Services Department helps with questions about student grants, funding, and other social issues. During consultations, they will explain the options available to you and where you can contact them with your concerns. In short: it takes care of the entire public image of FHWien.

Department for quality management

The Quality Management department focuses on our internal collaboration and strives to improve processes and simplify workflows. It gathers feedback not only within the team but also from students to get even more out of our work.

Furthermore, the Organization Department is also tasked with conducting internal networking meetings and is available to student representatives for organizational matters.

Student representatives

The student council is your direct contact point for study-specific questions. For programs with fewer than 400 students, it consists of up to three representatives; otherwise, it consists of up to five. They are elected in a direct election during university elections. The student representatives represent the interests of the students in a given program and work closely with the respective cohort representatives.
